Messaging and building discussions

Private conversations, building discussions and thoughtful everyday conveniences.

01

Private conversations

Message management or an available contact in the app and send photos and attachments in the same conversation. Replies to specific messages, reactions and read indicators preserve context, while search helps retrieve previous information.

Contact management or the relevant conversation partner

Message an available contact in the app to discuss the building issue in the same workspace.

Text, photos, captions and attachments

Send an image or file with the necessary explanation to present the issue fully.

Reply to a particular message

Reply to a specific message so the other person knows exactly which point you are addressing.

Reactions and read indicators

Reactions provide a quick response, while read indicators show the message’s available reading status.

Search messages

Search for a remembered word or phrase to find an earlier message in the conversation.

02

Building discussions by topic

Separate discussions keep building topics such as repairs or parking organized. Staff can approve, close or reopen a discussion and pin important messages, while participants can mute notifications or obtain a conversation summary.

Separate topics for different questions

Use a separate discussion for each topic to keep related questions and replies together.

Approve, close or reopen a discussion

The responsible person can approve or close a discussion and reopen it when necessary.

Pin important messages

Pin important information in the discussion so participants can return to it easily.

Mute discussion notifications

Mute a topic when you do not want frequent alerts while keeping the discussion accessible.

Summarise a long conversation with Arega

Ask Arega for the main discussion points to understand a long conversation quickly.

03

Saved messages, search and reminders

Save an important message or set a personal reminder to return to it later. Unread filters and searches by date or content type help locate a message and open it in the context of its conversation.

Saved messages

Save a useful message so you do not have to search the conversation for it again later.

Personal reminders to revisit a message

Set a personal reminder to return to a message if you cannot address it now.

An unread-conversations filter

Show only unread conversations to review new information separately.

Search by date or content type

Narrow the search by date or content type to find a particular photo, file or message.

Jump to a message with its surrounding context

Open a search result with its surrounding messages to understand the context correctly.

Draft and reading-position retention on supported surfaces

In supported environments, return to an unsent draft or your previous reading position to continue the conversation.

04

A considerate, moderated space

Report an unwanted message and, in supported conversations, block the sender. Staff review reports and can temporarily freeze a discussion, with residents’ personal details displayed only to a limited extent.

Report an unwanted message

Report a problematic message so the responsible team can review it.

Block a conversation partner where available

Use blocking in supported conversations when you no longer want contact with that person.

Responsible staff review reports

Staff review the report to determine the appropriate action for the situation.

Temporarily freeze a discussion

Staff can temporarily pause a discussion while addressing a problem within it.

Limit the personal information neighbours can see

Conversations show a limited set of personal details rather than exposing the resident’s full profile.

05

Small conveniences for everyday conversations

Adapt important conversations, reminders and reading preferences to your needs. These conveniences help you find what matters and keep unfinished thoughts.

Pin an important conversation

Pin a frequently used conversation to find it easily in your chat list.

A reminder for a specific message

Return to a saved message using an available reminder in an hour, the next morning or a week later.

Text size, colours and compact layout

In web chat, choose message text size and tint and enable a compact layout when useful.

Load photos on demand

Use the web-chat setting to load photos on demand and control data usage.

Hide and restore a discussion

Temporarily remove a discussion from your visible list and restore it when needed.

06

Keep unfinished messages in view

Supported interfaces distinguish drafts, sending messages and unsent messages. Reading position and new-message indicators help you continue at your own pace.

Sending progress and failure status

See whether a message is sending, waiting for a connection or has not completed delivery.

Retry or remove an unsent message

Retry a failed message or confirm removal of a local version you no longer need.

A separate draft for each conversation

On supported interfaces, the text being written is retained for the relevant account, building and conversation.

A new-message count while reading history

While reading older messages, see the new-message count and choose when to jump to the latest one.

07

Responsible discussion management

Community discussions have rules, report review and AI-assisted checks. Authorised staff retain the management controls.

AI-assisted content checks

When enabled, the system can flag messages needing attention to support management review.

Human review of decisions

An authorised administrator can assess a moderation result and review a resident’s report through a separate workflow.

Manage discussion rules

Set building discussion rules and, with platform-level permission, manage prohibited-expression rules.

Filter topics by state

Separate active, pending-review, closed and frozen topics to organise moderation work.

Availability depends on the user’s role, enabled services and compatible equipment.
